About the Awards

Message from Richard Sainsbury

The British Oncological Association (BOA) is proud to continue supporting the Excellence in Oncology Awards, which champion best practice in the treatment and care of cancer patients.

As oncology professionals, we strive to address the issues that are important to patients while encouraging medical research and advancement. These Awards recognise colleagues who have demonstrated innovative and pioneering ideas, and provide a platform for them to share their knowledge and experience. They also provide an excellent opportunity to share world-class initiatives that originated in the UK and are benefiting patients today.

Since their inception five years ago, the number of entries in the Awards has increased steadily. We would like to think that the Excellence in Oncology Awards contribute in some small way to the sharing of best practice and shine a well-deserved light on hard-working individuals at the coalface.

The judges greatly look forward to receiving many more high quality entries in what promises to be another competitive year.
